DR. JOEL SWISHER

Dr. Swisher's professional experience includes research, project planning and instruction on international energy policy and technology, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and pollution control technologies, renewable energy resources and sustainable land-use practices in regional and international markets. He collaborated with the United Nations Environment Programme in Denmark developing programs to assist countries with environmentally sustainable energy planning, and with the Swedish National Board for Technology and Industrial Development, researching the role of energy-efficiency in a competitive electricity market.  He holds a Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) from Stanford University.
