Saadia Qayyum

Saadia has a decade of experience in the energy sector. Her areas of expertise include power market economics, energy subsidy reforms, renewable energy, energy efficiency and decarbonization, and economic analysis of infrastructure projects. Prior to joining E3, Saadia was an Energy Specialist at World Bank where she worked on Pakistan’s power sector reforms, and energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Saadia started her career at National Engineering Services of Pakistan as project economist and financial analyst on hydro power projects.

As a strong proponent of more female participation in the energy sector, Saadia previously co-led the Islamabad chapter for Women in Energy (WIE) Pakistan – a network for fostering career and leadership development of female professionals in the energy sector.

Outside of work, Saadia enjoys long walks with her children, traveling and exploring new places and cultures, reading, and baking.
