Robert (Bob) Schulte is a Senior Director in E3’s Integrated System Planning practice, where he brings decades of leadership in utility strategy, resource planning, and large-scale infrastructure development. His expertise spans integrated resource planning, demand-side program design, interregional transmission, grid-level energy storage, and regulatory affairs. At E3, Bob supports clients navigating the evolving challenges of system decarbonization, infrastructure investment, and cross-jurisdictional transmission planning.
Before joining E3, Bob served as an executive officer in both public and private utilities and led his own consulting firm specializing in energy strategy, operations, and permitting. His past work includes managing utility-scale IRPs, leading development of large transmission and storage projects, and advising industrial and municipal clients on renewable procurement and long-duration storage solutions. His work has been widely published and recognized across the industry.
In his free time, Bob enjoys reading, golfing, electronic music production, and continuous learning.
