Alan Leung is a Senior Managing Consultant in E3’s Asset Valuation and Markets practice, where he brings deep expertise in energy market modeling, integrated resource planning, and power system analytics. He supports clients in evaluating system reliability, forecasting price trends, and identifying least-cost portfolios of clean energy resources using tools such as PLEXOS and E3’s in-house tools.
Before joining E3, Alan held roles as a senior planner at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario and as a lead energy market analyst at Energy Exemplar. At IESO, he led techno-economic studies and supported regulatory filings related to resource adequacy and environmental policies. At Energy Exemplar, he provided technical modeling guidance to clients across the Asia-Pacific region and contributed to projects involving real time market clearing engine, capacity expansion plans, energy & emissions forecasting, and grid modernization.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys road trips, motorcycle touring, and exploring new cultures through travel, landscape and wildlife photography, and local cuisine.
