Alison Gill advises electric utilities and other energy sector clients on power market analysis, portfolio modeling, and bulk system planning. Her work focuses on evaluating market dynamics, quantifying risk exposure, and assessing compliance requirements in an evolving electricity system, translating these factors into long-term planning insights. Alison has managed projects spanning resource adequacy, integrated system planning, and market design. She has supported a diverse set of clients across U.S. power markets, including bilateral markets in the West and Southeast, as well as organized markets in Texas and the Northeast.

Prior to joining E3, Alison was the Manager of Portfolio Analytics at The Energy Authority. As a member of the trading team, Alison provided key analytic insights to maximize the value of utility generation assets in the face of market volatility and regulatory requirements. Alison specialized in supporting load serving entities with trading and optimization strategies in state compliance programs such as California’s Slice-of-Day program and Washington’s Cap-and-Invest Program. She began her career at Genscape, forecasting day-ahead and real-time prices in the ISO-NE market.

Alison is motivated by helping electric system planners navigate tradeoffs among affordability, reliability, and decarbonization.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys reading and long-distance running.
