Emily Peterson joined E3 in 2020. She is a Data Scientist specializing in model development within E3’s Integrated System Planning practice area. She designs and implements advanced optimization models to evaluate the economics and reliability of decarbonization strategies, renewable integration, and electrification pathways. She has prior experience at E3 as a Senior Managing Consultant and Technical Lead, where she led modeling efforts and analytics to support policy design, investment planning, and clean energy transition strategies. Prior to E3, Emily worked for ICF’s Clean Transportation Practice, focusing on modeling decarbonization pathways for the transportation sector.

Working at E3 allows Emily the opportunity to promote sustainable energy consumption through policies and regulations rooted in strong technical analysis. She is excited to continue contributing to E3’s cutting-edge and impactful work.

Outside of work, Emily stays active by running, biking, and hiking. She also enjoys knitting and traveling.
