Linus Beer is a Managing Consultant at E3, where he focuses on how energy markets and climate policy shape investment, valuation, and strategic decision-making in the power sector. His work spans power market forecasting, asset valuation, and the financial implications of policy and market design across the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets. At E3, Linus works across market forecasting, project economics, and capital deployment, supporting clients in understanding emerging market and policy trends and evaluating and advancing energy infrastructure investments in rapidly evolving markets.
Prior to E3, Linus worked at Aurora Energy Research in Berlin, where he led research on European energy markets and Aurora’s carbon market work, advising investors, utilities, and policymakers on decarbonization strategy and market competitiveness. He also served as a Research Lead at Harvard University’s Belfer Center, developing financial and carbon market mechanisms to accelerate renewable investment in emerging markets, including work with investors and multilateral development banks aimed at preventing new coal development in Southeast Asia.
Linus is driven by helping stakeholders navigate a cost-effective transition to a low-carbon system, with a focus on innovative, bankable, and scalable infrastructure. He joined E3 for its leading modeling capabilities and market credibility, and works with asset owners, developers, and emerging technology providers to structure, value, and finance next-generation energy assets, including those driven by AI-related load growth.
Outside the office, Linus is a proud father of two in a bi-national family (his wife and kids are German-Chilean), and plays piano in a Peruvian rock band, where he’s affectionately known as “the Chilean.”
